We are nearing the launch of the next phablet in line from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 9. It will surely have the quirks and perks of a new smartphone, but is it enough to bring in the crowd? Let’s take a look at some of the details we have gotten so far.
By now everybody knows that the Note 9 will inherit some or more of the Galaxy S9, bringing a few of its own. The problem is how much will it copy from the S9 since the S9 was not a major groundbreaking flagship. The other major wall that Samsung should jump will be the competition. There’s now tough competition from a lot of players this year. The OnePlus 6 launching soon, Huawei P20 offering a really good camera topping the DxO list.
If the new Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of memory will be enough to stomp the competition is another question to answer. The design, however, will be premium with rumors pointing a curved body sandwiched in the glass. The infinity display concept will be taken to the next level this time completely curving from the edges. The other big news is the incorporation of a 4000mAh battery which also leaves some space in the back for an in-display fingerprint sensor. Also cooking in the rumor mill is the addition of a dual 16 Megapixel sensor, incorporating a 28mm and 50mm lens with variable aperture. Considering all this, specs, features and design, Samsung might just pull off a winner with the Note 9.
