The much awaited Galaxy S10 has launched (more like the Galaxy S10 siblings) and with any new phone, it’s the hype of the town. Samsung has been bringing innovation to the smartphone industry in recent times with their Galaxy series of smartphones and staying true to that fact, the Galaxy S10s are more than just regular smartphones. They bring the best in class features, improved cameras and an all screen display to top it off.
Starting with the biggest of the S10 variants, we have the Galaxy S10 Plus. With a 6.4 inch display, the S10+ is a phablet put together amazingly well. The resolution for this mammoth display scales to 1440x3040p, not exactly 4k but this AMOLED display or Dynamic AMOLED display supports HDR10+ and incorporates a much-awaited feature we have been waiting for. The S10+ incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor, the ultrasonic solution provided by Qualcomm. This means much more security for your device, though a recent test revealed that the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work with a glass screen protector (not that it’s an issue since there’s no need as the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 6). The Galaxy S10+ is powered by either Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 depending on your region and comes with 8GB of RAM running the latest version of Android, Android 9.0 Pie. There’s a beefier S10+ with ceramic body and 12GB of RAM if you are into that sort of thing. Turning the attention to the back side, we get three cameras, two 12MP cameras, one wide and another telephoto, the third one a 16 Megapixel setup with an ultrawide lens.
The Galaxy S10, on the other hand, is a minor upgrade from the Galaxy S9. The specs are similar to the Galaxy S10 Plus with the difference being the 6.1 inch display, but the resolution remains the same on this model as well. The Galaxy S10E, the modest model of the S10 siblings comes with a 5.8 inch display and 1080×2280 resolution. This model of the Galaxy S10 has dual cameras, one 12 Megapixel wide and the other 16 Megapixel with an ultrawide lens and comes with a side mounted fingerprint sensor instead of the in-display one found in other models.
The Galaxy S10 models has become the head turners in the industry with a stunning display, the best cameras in a smartphone and specs to match. The Galaxy S10 price starts at ₹55,900 ($790) with preorders on all major retailers and is expected to be available from March 8.
